We've just completed a marketing project with Edinburgh and West Lothian accountants, Springfords.
It's an interactive brochure that lets you turn each page with a mouse click (and sound effect). The beauty is that it can be employed both online and offline.
It's available online at their website. Once you start turning the pages, you can:
- Zoom in/out (double click or use the zoom control)
- Make annotations
- Share it with colleagues
- Download a pdf version
It works with any modern browser and mobile devices view a 'mobilised' version which lends itself to the smaller screen.
Offline, we're putting it on USB wafer cards that could be distributed at promotional events or as gifts. The interactive aspects will run on the USB device in a similar way to online, on both PC and Mac, so it's a great way of getting the Springfords message out there.

Next month will see our re-design of the Blot web site launched.
I know, it's been a long time coming, but it's the same old sad story of cobbler's children...
We've been taking advantage of some of of the latest web features including experimenting with some different fonts instead of the old nine 'safe standards'.
New HTML and CSS standards makes it possible to use a whole range of new fonts, but watch out, there are traps out there.

Maybe, just maybe, one day we won't need desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones to do our daily computing.
We might be seeing, and controlling, our online activity though a pair of glasses. That's the vision (geddit) of the Google Glass project.
It's very early days yet, but you can see a video of what they think it might be like to wake up and venture out into the world, wearing your very chic Google glasses, and controlling everything from them.
Apparently they've really got prototypes made and there are pictures of people wearing them at the project web site. Everyone looks like they are from Thunderbirds!
