Now comes microblogging!!
It's fascinating to see the Internet evolving
and how
ideas get adopted by the business community for
profit or efficiency reasons.
We've already seen the blog concept used to
promote
companies in every way possible. As we've
said in previous
articles, blogs can be used as a document
management system to promote your company,
yourself and to add quality content to your
website.
Now we are seeing the phenomenon of
microblogging at sites such as Twitter and Jaiku
(recently acquired by Google).
Microblogging is just that; tiny
blog postings or "tweets" of 100-140
characters. People are using them to quickly jot down
thoughts and links to more major items (including
their blog!).
Any value for business in microblogging? Who
knows? The thing is, lots of people are
using them
and where people congregate, there is usually
money
to be made!
What's the fuss about blogs...

Building without surprises |
|
If you've every undertaken a building project
you'll know there is nothing worse than when
you find out you're going to have to pay
extra for an 'unexpected
development'.
Mackenzie Hughes are Edinburgh builders who
make every effort to make sure that doesn't
happen by ensuring all the bases are covered
before work gets underway. So their
customers benefit from 'building without
surprises'.
Located in central Edinburgh and with a core
team of tradesmen that have been with them
for years, they are just the people to look
after your refurb, renovation, extension or
new build.
We've just completed their new website which
showcases their services and recent finished
works.

Free tips from a marketing master |
|
We've recently come across Drayton Bird, the
marketing expert who talks simply and
practically about how to use marketing
successfully.
And he should know - with 40
years in the business, working with all sorts
of companies around the world, he's got a
fantastic track record, is a successful
author on the subject and was hailed by the
legendary David Ogilvy as
"knowing more about direct marketing than
anyone else in the world."
In fact his "Commonsense Direct Marketing" -
out in 13 languages - has now been the best
seller on the subject for 25
years.
Best of all though, is that you
can be
emailed 71 of his marketing tips (one every
3-4 days) absolutely free. These are
easy-to-read and easy-to-apply tips and
views. You will
almost certainly see something that has
direct relevance to what you do or what you
would like to do.
Soon the tips are going to be incorporated in
a new book, so get them and enjoy them free
while you still can.
