Edinburgh - UK free Wi-Fi capital?
For us Wi-Fi has been one of the great
enabling technologies of the last few years.
We use it all the time on laptops in offices,
cafes, hotels etc.
Edinburgh is especially great for free Wi-Fi
sites - there aren't too many streets that
don't have a cafe providing it free of charge.
Contrast that with London. When we visited
recently, but we didn't come across a single
free Wi-Fi site. There must be some, somewhere...

KRA Architects showcase projects

Kenneth Reid Architects is a dynamic,
design-led firm of Edinburgh architects
working particularly in the commercial,
residential and health sectors.
We've just completed their website which
showcases their imaginative and innovative
work in a series of project pages.
The site is managed by the Blot
Content Management System, which has a
special module
developed for projects.
So, in addition to managing their
page text and graphics, news items and job
vacancies, they can add and amend projects in
different sector categories
- allowing prospective clients to
quickly see relevant examples of their
work.

Google Churns

Google own such a position of power these
days that your site's ranking on the search
engine can make a huge difference to your
business' success. Some businesses have even
folded when their sites have 'disappeared'
from Google.
This, coupled with the fact that only Google
insiders know the ranking algorithm and its
subtleties, makes keeping an eye on your
ranking a potentially fraught occupation.
Recently, the rankings have had some major
fluctuations back and forth, which is a
little unusual.
Are you concerned? Is there anything you can do?
