Can't afford to lose your data?

Those extra domain names
A lot of people have bought extra domain names at some point that had words from their industry in the name, thinking they could use them for increasing their search engine presence.

Once upon a time it was a surefire way to get a good ranking, but these days it will more likely bring you trouble.

Find out why....

Have a look at our great new music club site and learn how you can have your data secured off-site....

  • The Links Hotel strikes a chord!
  • The Links Hotel in Montrose is a great place for a break or business event. It's also got one of the best going music clubs in Scotland.

Jazz and blues, folk and classical are some of the musical genres that are regularly showcased with local and international artists.

The new site evokes the club's intimate atmosphere and has features including an event calendar database, event photo galleries, online booking and gift vouchers.

What's more, if you attend an event, you get a special overnight rate at the hotel, so you can really make a night of it!

  • Google sued over rankings
  • Here's an interesting story for those of us who feel our search engine ranking should be higher than it is.

A company in the US called KinderStart is suing Google over the drop in their search engine ranking!

They are complaining that their page views went from 10 million a month to 3 million when Google reduced their ranking. Their advertising revenue subsequently dropped by 80% - a drastic enough change to cause major hurt to any business.

The case brings up some very interesting viewpoints - a free service being sued by a commercial enterprise, Google being asked to explain their ranking system and hints about KinderStart's content.
