Microsoft includes RSS
Microsoft announced last week that they will be
including RSS support in the next release of
Windows.
Sound Dutch to you? RSS stands for (among other
things) Really Simple Syndication, and it is a
technology that lets people choose information feeds
that are sent to them from the Internet.
Organisations like the BBC already provide their news
in the format.
A lot of people (now including Microsoft, it seems)
feel it is the way that we will collect our information
in future, rather than surfing the Internet all the
time. An added bonus is that the search engines
love RSS!

After a mammoth development project lasting over
12 months, the web-site for the British Association of
Hand Therapists (BAHT) charity is now live.
This is a major development that comprises :
- A public area
- A private intranet for members
- An administration area for database and content
managment
It's a good example of the kind of work we can do for

When it comes to search engines, one of the most
important places they look is your web page
titles.
The title is the text that appears in the topmost bar
of the browser. It should include the key phrases
that you are hoping search engine users will type
in.
We often come across sites that have the same title
text on every page - not good. So make sure your
titles explain what the page is about.
